Wow. I had my fourth visit to Millstream Gardens Conservation Area. It's unbelievable. I mean, how can so many incredible parks be jammed into the 573 in the first place? You just have to see this place for yourself. Big place. Big beauty.

Majestic pines, huge granite boulders and bluffs on the riverbanks
Only 8 miles west of Fredericktown on Highway 72 the St. Francis River cuts through a rugged canyon of granite bluffs -the Tiemann Shut-Ins. It's one of the most beautiful places in Missouri. Majestic pines, huge granite boulders and bluffs on the riverbanks make wonderful spots to kick back and soak in the sights.
The shut-ins are very easy to get to and the trails are well maintained...573 gives it 5 stars.
Bring that camera, you can't go wrong out there. As Missouri’s only whitewater, these rapids draw river rats from all over the Midwest. The shut-ins are very easy to get to and the trails are well maintained. There are restrooms and a nice pavilion. It’s ranked 4 out of 5 stars by trails.com, but the 573 gives it 5 stars.
GET OUT THERE!
